Transform Digital Aberdeen Conference and Showcase
AECC, 25th - 26th September
A high profile event bringing together the business community, digital network operators and the public sector in an exciting conference and showcase, which will look at plans for creating a world class digital infrastructure in a world class city.
The Transform Digital Conference will be delivered by INCA (Independent Networks Cooperative Association) in partnership with the Accelerate Aberdeen programme team and Aberdeen City Council and is designed to address three questions:
1.What does Aberdeen and the wider regional community need from its digital infrastructure?
2.What is happening in Aberdeen to meet these needs?
3.How can the rural economy benefit from the development of new digital networks?
The conference will facilitate dialogue between the telecoms industry, the business community and local government.
•We will explore Scotland and Aberdeen’s position in the broader European context and examine the competitive advantages that cities and regions are gaining from digital infrastructure investment and development of the CDIT sectors.
•We will share knowledge between people building the new ‘transformational digital networks’ and those that need to exploit them.
•We will showcase innovative approaches to exploiting new digital infrastructure by business, public and academic sectors.
•We will explore collaborative approaches that ensure harder to reach rural areas don’t get left behind.
•We will explore the latest thinking on ‘Digital Exchanges’ and platforms to connect users of high speed networks to the content and service they need.
Get Involved
The conference will be a one day, high impact event. Networking and learning opportunities will be maximised.
A supplier and project showcase will take place on September 26 to profile some of the most innovative, can-do companies and projects in the industry. This will include exhibition and presentation opportunities and is open to INCA members and other 3rd parties.
Thanks to the event sponsors the conference delegate fee has been set at a very low level to encourage broad participation but as ever with INCA events, we always hold some free places for representatives of unfunded community broadband projects. If you would like to apply for one of these places please send an email to [email protected] with full contact details, letting us know why you need a free place.
When: Conference: Thursday September 25th 2014 8:30 AM to 6:30 PM.
Company and Projects Showcase: Friday September 26th 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
