Find out about the Energy Institute at Offshore Europe 2015
The Energy Institute (EI) will present its work and highlight the value of membership of a professional body through two workshops at Offshore Europe 2015, held on 8 -11 September at the AECC, Aberdeen.
This year the EI will be exhibiting within the Aberdeen City Council’s pavilion (stand 2C20). The two free presentations will explain the benefits of EI membership, and profile the EI’s comprehensive knowledge service and technical programme.
The EI is the leading professional body for the global energy sector, providing learning and networking opportunities to support professional development, as well as professional recognition and technical and scientific knowledge resources on energy in all its forms and applications. A high volume of interest is expected at these sessions and space is limited so pre-registration is required to ensure your place.
The benefits of EI membership
Tuesday 8 September, 13:45-14:45
Andy Lewis, EI Membership Manager, will outline the benefits of individual and company membership. The presentation will be followed by a workshop on how you can achieve chartered registration with the EI.
The EI knowledge service and the benefits of technical partnership
Thursday 10 September, 09:30-10:30
Martin Maeso CEnv MEI, EI Knowledge Director, will discuss the benefits of partnership on the EI technical work programme and give an insight into the EI's Knowledge Service including an overview of the Energy Matrix. He will also cover the findings of the EI’s Energy Barometer report, which represents a first step in creating an informative and useful picture of the UK energy industry painted by those closest to it.

This work is defined by the EI’s Scientific and Technical Committee (STAC) and is supported by the EI’s Technical Partners. The results of this work are made available through technical publications and events for the purpose of disseminating guidance and good industry practice as widely as possible.
