City Centre Management

Aberdeen has a city centre management is responsible for promoting the city centre and liaising with city businesses.

They brings some of the largest street markets in the country to Aberdeen.  This includes the International Street Market which visits around three times per year, in spring, winter and summer, with over 70 large stalls, many travelling from Continental Europe for the event, selling food, flowers and crafts from more than 12 countries. The market is located on Union Terrace which is closed to traffic for the three or four days of the market (over a weekend). It is organised on behalf of the City Council by Geraud Markets, the largest market operators in Europe, and is reputed to be the largest continental market in the UK.

Also featured is the Aberdeen Country Fair, located in Belmont Street, with around 35 small stalls, selling mainly, but not solely, food and crafts from the North East of Scotland. The market is on the first and last Saturday of every month throughout the year, and four Saturdays in December.
