Situated on the North East coast of Scotland, Aberdeen is connected to the rest of Scotland and the UK by excellent air, rail road and sea links. Only 2.5hrs from Glasgow and Edinburgh by road and rail and a one hour flight to London, our fast and regular transportation links ensure the city remains a UK centre for business, a global energy hub and the key city in the UK for the energy industry. Many airlines and other transport operators provide key connections to destinations across the UK which are not only vital to their own success, but the success of the city and its industries.
Scotrail runs regular services north and south and the Caledonian Sleeper runs nightly (except Saturday) offering a more relaxed way to head to south - arriving in London in time for breakfast.
If heading to Orkney or Shetland, for business or leisure, there is a daily ferry provided by Northlink Ferries. Alongside regular flights from Aberdeen International Airport these provide a vital link for businesses and residents.
