Twinning Aberdeen facilitate the participation of groups from twin cities at a number of Aberdeen's festivals and events programmes throughout the year.

Groups and individuals from twin cities have participated in a number of city events and festivals throughout 2015, including: Aberdeen Jazz Festival; May Festival; Aberdeen International Youth Festival; Celebrate Aberdeen Weekend; and TechFest.

Twinning Aberdeen has also provided artists and musicians from the city with the opportunity to perform at international events. In 2015, a jazz trio performed at Stavanger's MaiJazz Festival; Grampian Concert Orchestra performed in Regensburg's Sister City Jubilee; and local writers attended and read at the launch of new publication Passages in Regensburg.
