For more information about the bands see below:

Funk Connection

The Funk Connection are a 10 piece outfit established in 2004 specialising in Funk, Soul and R&B bands.  From the Jackson 5 and James Brown to the Temptations, Sister Sledge and Chic, their musical influence is drawn from Funk and Soul classics that fill the dance floors of every venue they play.

The Jellyman's Daughter

This unique new duo from Edinburgh are guitarist Emily Kelly and cellist Graham Coe. Their interweaving vocal harmonies are complimented by an interesting mix of cello and acoustic guitar. One of the distinguishing features of The Jellyman's Daughter is the innovative rhythmic style of cello playing providing a catchy percussive backbeat to some of their songs, contrasted by the intimacy of others.

Flaxman
Flaxman is a 7 piece collective from Aberdeen. Their self-penned songs explore the everyday. The songs attempt to describe how the ordinary everydayness of our lives is for each and every one of us extraordinary.

Fireworks Display

A stunning and spectacular fireworks display fired from the rooftop of His Majesty's Theatre at midnight. The best views for the fireworks display will be from Union Bridge, Union Terrace, Blackfriars Street and Schoolhill.
